A division of Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH), Flag Choice Hotels, the largest hotel group in the Asia Pacific region, asked FullSite in 2000 to develop a browser based content management solution that would allow Flag to subsume the 462 plus member hotels, representing 31,542 rooms, into one dynamic, user-friendly and cost-effective web site. The system needed to be licensing free, easy to operate, rapidly scalable, deliver major functionality improvements, integrate with a proprietary booking and payment system and be secure. FullSite delivered on every front.
FullSite still maintains and develops the SiteMation-based Conference & Meeting Guide system and supports the site and Flag Choice personnel. The site allows users to book, pay for and confirm room reservations online, real-time, by integrating with the Choice Hotels booking system and payment gateway. The site features advanced searching for site visitors and a back-end management system for Flag employees to monitor and maintain critical business functions, such as managing customer enquiries and franchise data. Detailed statistics are collected and analyzed to help determine the success of various web-marketing initiates.
Since the initial rollout of the original site, FullSite has continued working with Flag on several other development and consulting projects, which represent varying contract amounts. All projects have met or exceeded specifications, been delivered on time and within the contracted dollar amount.
The web-based booking system provides the most cost-effective booking method used by the group and offers tangible customer service benefits. The site has been enormously successful, generating large amounts of traffic, sales and other cost-saving efficiencies. Choice was recently named the #1 lodging franchise chain in Entrepreneur Magazine's annual Franchise 500.
